Original Story (06/27/24): It appears one of the all-time sneaker grails is making a comeback.
An UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 is set to release in 2025 in a Deep Green/Clementine color scheme. This is the same color combo as the OG UNDEFEATED Jordan 4, an ultra rare, highly coveted sneaker originally released in 2005 with only 72 pairs made.
2025 marks the 20th anniversary of this release, as well as the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan line, and the return of an icon such as this one would be a great way to celebrate. The sneaker is considered a grail not only for its rarity, but also for its historic significance, as it was the first ever Jordan sneaker collaboration to be released.
The design of the OG UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 was inspired by military aesthetics, its olive and orange color schemed pulled from MA-1 bomber flight jackets. Its return is not completely out of the blue. A sample pair from 2017 has made its rounds online, indicating that this retro release has been years in the making.
The UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 “Deep Green” is slated for a Summer 2025 release, likely dropping via UNDFTD, SNKRS, and select retailers. Check out the OG 2005 version below and stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.
Update (09/05/24): According to zSneakerHeadz, there will be two versions of the UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 dropping in 2025. The “Retro OG” version will be more widely available, featuring Nike Air branding on the heels, while the more limited “Retro” version will feature the same Jumpman logo on the heel as the original. The footwear will release alongside an UNDEFEATED x Jordan MA-1 Flight Jacket that will retail for $325. Stay tuned for more.
Update (04/19/25): First look photos of the 2025 UNDEFEATED x Air Jordan 4 with Nike Air on the heels have arrived. These come with special 20th anniversary-themed packaging. The Jumpman version (IB1854-200) is expected to be a friends-and-family exclusive.
Update (07/21/25): UNDEFEATED has announced an August 2nd release date for its Air Jordan 4 retro. A wider release is expected to follow on SNKRS and at select retailers later in August. Sign up for updates on UNDAJ4.com.
Update (07/27/25): Following a Chicago-exclusive early release this weekend, UNDEFEATED has now announced launch details for its AJ4 collab. The online raffle sign-up begins Monday, July 28th at 8am PT and will be open for 48 hours. The in-store raffle for pick-up in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix, New York City, and Los Angeles opens July 30th at 9am PT and closes at 5pm PT the same day. Those that miss out on the raffle can try to cop on launch day, August 2nd at 8am PT on UNDEFEATED.com.
